Tried a warm gray palette for a whole month and it turned my living room sterile
I repainted my place in Portland with a warm gray from a popular swatch, thinking it'd feel cozy. Instead, after 30 days, the room looks like a waiting area, zero personality, and my plants look washed out. I think the undertone clashes with the afternoon light through my big east windows. Did anyone else pick a safe neutral and regret it because it killed the vibe? What's a better approach to test a palette before committing to 4 walls?

Honestly, a month is a long time to stare at a color you hate, but people act like a paint job is a tattoo. Warm gray is basically the beige of this decade, and it's not supposed to be exciting, it's just safe. If the plants bug you that much, swap the pots out before you go blaming the walls.
