Swapped my Wacom for an iPad Pro last year and my wrist finally stopped hurting
I used to do all my vector sketches on a Cintiq 22 with a pen that needed charging every 2 hours, but after a trip to Portland where I borrowed a friends iPad I realized how much lighter the whole setup felt. The switch let me work from my couch instead of being chained to a desk, which helped a ton with my posture. Has anyone else moved away from traditional drawing tablets for health reasons, or am I just getting old?

Oh man, charging a pen every 2 hours sounds like a nightmare. I bet you felt like you were constantly hunting for that stupid little charger. Honestly, switching from a big desk setup to something you can use on the couch is probably the best thing you could do for your body. I tried one of those huge Cintiqs once and felt like I was wrestling a monster. My wrist is still mad at me for that. Getting old? Maybe, but your joints are definitely thanking you for not being a desk zombie anymore.

Read somewhere that repetitive strain injuries from desk setups are way more common than people admit, so you're definitely not alone in making that call for your health. The couch drawing life sounds like a game changer for your spine and your wrist.
