Serious question: did you used to sketch on paper before going digital
I used to sketch everything on paper for years before even opening Illustrator. But about 6 months ago I started doing rough wireframes straight in Figma and now I can't go back to paper, it feels too slow. Anyone else make that switch and stick with it or did you go back to analog?

Oh man, I tried going back to paper after a year of straight digital and it felt like carving a cave painting with a rock. My hand cramped up after 10 minutes like I'd been writing with a rusty claw. The undo button is basically a magic eraser for my soul now. So no, I'm not going back. Paper is for people who enjoy mistakes and wrist pain.

The "undo button is a magic eraser for my soul" line killed me, that's such a perfect way to put it. But I gotta gently push back on one thing - paper isn't just for people who enjoy mistakes. I mean, I did the same thing where I went fully digital for like 8 months straight and when I tried to sketch a logo idea on a napkin last week, my lines looked like a toddler drew them. But there's something about the physical resistance of paper that forces you to slow down and actually think through a composition before you commit. Like when I'm doing character thumbnails, paper still wins because I can flip pages back and forth without loading times. The wrist pain part is real though, I definitely had to stretch more.
