Hit 500 saved color palettes in my library, not sure if that's normal

I keep a local folder of color combos I swipe from nature photos and old packaging designs. Last night I counted and there are exactly 503 files, some going back to 2019. I never set out to collect them, they just piled up like receipts. It got me thinking, when do collections turn into clutter? I have maybe 40 I actually use on client work. The rest are just pretty combinations I liked at 2 AM. Does anyone else hoard palettes like this, or is 500 the point where you trim the fat? How do you decide what stays?

Honestly, I think you're fine. 500 is just a number, and if those files don't take up real space or slow you down, why stress about it? The whole point of saving them is to have a deep well to dig into when you're stuck, even if you only pull from 40 regularly. Trimming it down to just the "useful" ones feels like tossing out your own history, and you might regret losing a weird combo that finally makes sense months from now. Clutter only matters if it gets in the way, and a folder you can scroll through in a minute is not that. Keep the 2 AM finds, they're the fun part.
