Figma auto-layout vs hand-coding grids no contest for me
I spent 4 hours last week rebuilding a dashboard mockup because I trusted auto-layout too much. It kept breaking on mobile breakpoints and I couldn't figure out why. Then I just went back to sketching my grid system on paper first like I used to do 5 years ago. Has anyone else found that the old school manual approach still beats the fancy new tools for complex layouts?

Paper and ruler crew checking in. Auto-layout sold me a dream and then laughed at me while I cried over a navbar.

Did you have specific problems with nested auto-layout groups or was it just the responsive breakpoints that gave you trouble?
