Blew $50 on a fancy sketchbook that bleeds through every page

I grabbed this expensive spiral bound sketchbook from a boutique art store last month thinking it would be great for marker work. Turns out even light pencil shading ghosts through to the next page, so it's basically useless for anything serious. Anyone else fall for a pretty cover and regret it?
