Thought crown molding install would take 1 weekend, closing in on 3 weeks now

So I started on my living room crown molding on the 1st and figured it was a simple cut and nail job. Turns out my walls are so out of square that every single corner needed custom coping, not just standard cuts. I redid the first section three times because the miters kept gaping open by like a quarter inch. Now I'm borrowing a coping saw from my neighbor Bob and watching YouTube at 11 PM just to get through the last two corners. Has anyone else had their trim project balloon by this much, or am I just cursed with crooked walls?

Three weeks for crown molding? That's not a weekend project, that's a full blown relationship test with your house. The fact you're out there at 11 PM with Bob's coping saw makes me want to send you a care package of caffeine and band-aids.
