PSA: measured my whole kitchen in inches, found out the 36 inch aisle was actually 33 and I had been bumping the fridge for 4 months
I finally pulled out my tape last Tuesday because my hip was tired of getting bruised by the fridge handle every time I walked past, and the tape showed 33 inches, not the 36 I had sketched on my plan back in March. Turns out my lines were drawn off a wall that isn't square, so every cabinet on that side is 3 inches too far in, and now I'm stuck deciding between yanking the uppers or just learning to walk sideways. Has anyone fixed this without tearing out the whole run, or am I really redoing the lowers?

That 3 inch drift off a crooked wall happens in every old house, always shows up later.
