My towel bar ripped out of the drywall 20 minutes after I hung it, and the fix was way simpler than I thought
The screws grabbed nothing because there was no stud where I drilled, just crumbly paper and dust, so the whole thing came down with a chunk of paint attached in my upstairs bathroom on Saturday. I grabbed a $6 pack of snap toggle anchors from the hardware store, redrilled the holes two inches over, and it's been holding two heavy wet towels for a week straight. Anyone got a trick for patching the ugly hole it left without repainting the whole wall?
