My contractor friend said I was overthinking my bathroom tile layout
He told me to just pick a pattern and stick with it instead of worrying about every tiny alignment. I had been stressing for 2 weeks over a 4x12 subway tile layout for my shower. Has anyone else had a contractor give you simple advice that actually saved you time?

Spent 3 weeks agonizing over grout color once. Just pick one.

Did you finally just close your eyes and grab one off the shelf or did someone force you to pick? I feel like grout color can totally make or break a tile job and it's such a small thing that somehow matters a ton. Three weeks seems about right honestly, especially if you were looking at samples at different times of day.
