Hit exactly 100 screws in one cabinet door before I messed up

I was building custom shaker doors for my kitchen reno in Portland last Saturday. Counted out 100 screws for the frame assembly, thinking that was excessive. Turns out I used every single one perfectly right up to the last one which stripped the hole. Has anyone else had a project where a specific number just slapped you in the face like that?

Oh come on, you're treating this like some kind of cosmic screw curse or something. You used 100 screws and one messed up, that's a pretty good batting average.

That reminds me of a buddy of mine who tried to put together a bookshelf from one of those flatpack stores. He got through the first 95 screws just fine, then hit one that just would not go in no matter what he did. Turns out the pilot hole was drilled slightly crooked from the factory, and he ended up snapping the screw head clean off trying to force it. He just left that one missing and called it a "custom design feature.
