Found a stat about kitchen counter height that completely changed my mind on ergonomics
I read in a building science report that the standard 36 inch counter height was based on men from the 1950s and now I'm wondering if we should all be lowering our counters or just admitting kitchens are designed for tall people, what height do you actually use?

That bit about 1950s men really got me too, because I remember reading somewhere that the average height has barely changed since then anyway. Honestly, my counters are standard 36 inches and my wife and I both around 5'9" don't have any issues with them. But if you're shorter or taller, it might be worth adjusting because a few inches up or down can save your back over a lifetime of cooking.

Yeah that's fair, the standard height works for most people anyway.
