Cheap rain diverter ripped off my gutter in a storm

Last Tuesday a big storm hit and that $15 plastic rain diverter I installed over the side door just snapped clean off. Took a chunk of the gutter with it, now I'm looking at a $200 repair. Anyone have a metal diverter brand that actually holds up in heavy rain?

My buddy put one of those cheap plastic ones on his place and it flew off during a storm too, dented his truck hood. He switched to a metal one from Amerimax a year ago and hasn't had a problem since.

Ha, did the same thing last year with a cheap plastic one from the hardware store. Thought I was being smart saving a few bucks and ended up with a bent downspout and a wet head. Learned my lesson the hard way too.
