Caught myself painting trim before caulking for 10 years

I was at a job in Portland last month and an apprentice pointed out my order was backwards, I had always painted the trim first then caulked the gaps after. Turns out filling the gaps before painting gives you a cleaner line and saves an extra coat (about 2 hours per room). Has anyone else been doing something simple like this backwards for years without noticing?

Bet you'll start noticing other people's backwards trim work everywhere now too.

Hang on, I actually disagree with that. I think most people are looking at the finished product as a whole, not zooming in on the little details like that. If the trim is painted well and looks clean, nobody's going to notice a tiny backwards piece unless they're really looking for it.
