After 6 weeks of fighting with a bathroom tile layout, I finally gave up and called a pro

I decided to retile my master bathroom myself to save money. I spent about 45 hours just measuring and remeasuring the layout for the shower walls. After three complete do-overs with the tile pattern, I still had gaps that were way off. I finally called a local tile guy from Austin and he finished the whole thing in two days. He told me the floor was slightly crooked which was messing up my measurements. Has anyone else run into a hidden problem like a unlevel floor that ate up their time?
