Swapped my dark mode palette for pure black and white and my users revolted in 2 days.
I thought true #000000 would look sleek for a dashboard i was building, but the contrast was so harsh people complained of eye strain within hours. Did anyone else have to dial back their blacks after getting real feedback?

Have you actually tried dealing with those error messages though? They can be pretty frustrating when you're in the middle of something important.
