My phone's dark mode made me notice something weird about my living room lights
Last week I was working late on a dark mode redesign for a client's app, with my phone set to the theme I was building. I got up to make coffee and noticed how harsh the overhead light in my kitchen looked compared to the screen. It was like a bright white spotlight, while my phone felt easy on the eyes. I ended up swapping the kitchen bulb for a warmer, dimmer one the next day, and now the whole room feels way more comfortable at night. Has anyone else had a real-world moment that made you tweak a design choice?

Swapped all my overheads for smart bulbs. Now I can set them to a warm orange glow after sunset. Makes a huge difference for winding down. My living room feels like a cozy cave instead of a doctor's office. Did the same with the lamp on my desk, way less eye strain.
