My gym's app dark mode is more of a workout for my eyes
Ngl, the text blends into the background. I might just stop using it.

My gym's app had the same issue, but I used to defend dark mode until now.

Wait, oliver965 that's a really good point... it makes you wonder if dark mode on fitness apps actually messes with your focus. You're there to push hard, and maybe the high contrast pulls your brain in a weird way. It's not just about saving battery or looking cool, it's about the headspace for the workout. Never thought about how a color scheme could fight the whole point of being at the gym.

Honestly, @jake_wright49, I get what you're saying. I mean, I use this running app in dark mode, and sometimes I feel like the screen just blends into the gym lights. Idk, maybe it's just me, but when I'm trying to hit a new pace, the low contrast makes it harder to read my stats quickly. Like, last week I was on the treadmill and kept missing my interval cues because the numbers didn't pop out. It totally threw off my rhythm. So yeah, you're onto something with the headspace thing. It's not just about looks; it can really mess with your workout flow.
