My buddy who does night shift security said my dark mode looks like a cave, now I can't unsee it
He came by my place last Tuesday and watched me scroll through the app I'm building for about 10 minutes before he said the whole thing felt like staring into a hole with no end. I had used straight black (#000000) on every screen because I thought that was the whole point, but he pointed out how his eyes had to work harder to find where anything started or stopped. So what's the move here, do you all use a dark gray base instead, and if so what hex value actually looks right on phones?
