I fixed one button in my app's dark mode and support tickets dropped by half
Last week I was sitting in a coffee shop in Portland reviewing user feedback on our new dark mode release. One person sent a screenshot showing the confirm button was still light gray while everything around it was dark, so it basically disappeared against the background. I changed just that one button to a brighter accent shade, pushed the update, and our support tickets about dark mode dropped from 40 a week to about 18. Has anyone else found that a single contrast fix made a bigger difference than redesigning the whole palette?
40 a week down to 18 from one button color change? That is wild. I get that contrast matters but I would have guessed tickets would dip by like 5 at most, not more than half. Makes me wonder how many of those people were just hitting the same confusing spot and finally gave up instead of writing in. Guess the small stuff is what people actually notice.
