Hit 500 weekly active users on my dark mode study, still shocked

Ran a tiny usability poll on my portfolio's dark theme last month, just asked visitors to leave a thumbs up or down. Woke up to 512 responses in 7 days, way more than the 30 I got on my light theme version. I thought people only cared about contrast ratios but they actually wrote comments about eye strain during 2 AM coding sessions. That number pushed me to redesign my whole color ramp, not just the background. Anyone else had a small metric snowball into a full project?

Wait, did you expect the light theme poll to pull way less than that? That 512 number is wild for a tiny thumbs up/down thing, but honestly it makes TOTAL sense. I slapped a quick poll on my website about page load times last year, just a single question, and got like 400 replies in a week from people who then went on to rant in the text box about their slow office wifi. One small question turned into me completely rebuilding my image loading setup and adding a bunch of lazy loading stuff I never planned on. It's funny how the smallest metric can just unlock a whole flood of stuff people wanted to tell you.
