Dropped $30 on a cheap monitor hood to test my dark theme, and now I can actually see my own mistakes
I kept designing dark mode UIs on a screen with a window behind me, so all my blacks looked deeper and cleaner than they really were. Last week I finally spent $30 on one of those clip-on monitor hoods, and I saw right away that my #121212 panels had a nasty purple tint I'd been missing for months. Anyone else use something weird or cheap to fix how you actually see your dark colors, or am I the only one who needed a plastic flap to catch that?
