A user said my dark theme looked 'cheap' because the text was too bright
They were right, the pure white on my near-black background was harsh. I switched to a light gray and the whole thing feels way more premium now, anyone else get feedback that made you totally redo a contrast choice?

Managed to ruin my entire kitchen backsplash last year trying something similar. Thought I was being clever with a white grout and a dark tile. @emmar75 would have told me to test it first but I went all in. Spent a whole weekend scrubbing with toothbrushes to fix my mistake.
