Why does nobody talk about password managers for shared family accounts?

My dad got hit with a phishing email pretending to be our cable company last 2 months. He clicked the link and typed in his password on a fake login page. It took us 3 days to clean up his bank accounts and change everything. I kept telling him to use a password manager but he said it was 'too complicated' and he liked writing them in a notebook. Then I showed him how my wife and I share a family vault with our streaming, utilities, and even the school portal logins. He saw it autofill on his phone and said, 'Oh, that's it?' Now he uses it for everything. Has anyone else had luck convincing older relatives to switch over? What finally worked for you?
