Warning: that free VPN extension I used for 2 years was selling my browsing data

I was chatting with a guy named Mike at a coffee shop in Austin last month... he works in network security for a bank. He pulled up his phone and showed me the privacy policy I'd agreed to, buried in paragraph 14 it said they 'anonymize and share' data with third parties. Changed my whole view after that... anyone else ever dig into their VPN's fine print?
