Vent: That coffee shop in Portland with zero security on their public Wi-Fi
I was at this place called Deadstock Coffee in Portland last week grabbing a latte. Noticed their Wi-Fi login page didn't even have a password, just click agree and you're in. Then I saw the owner's laptop behind the counter logged into their POS system on the same network. Anyone who knows how to use Wireshark could grab credit card numbers from across the room. Has anyone else seen small businesses ignore basic network separation like that?

Deadstock's owner probably figures nobody's that desperate for free wifi in a coffee shop.

Yeah it's rough out there for people who just need a place to sit.
