TIL that "123456" is still in the top 10 most used passwords in 2024

My cousin Dave swore his "super secure" password was fine for years - then his email got hacked last Tuesday and someone tried to buy $400 in crypto with his PayPal. Has anyone else had to deal with a relative who refuses to use a password manager?

Told my mom the same thing for years, but she kept using "Fluffy123" until someone got into her Facebook and started posting weird links. Finally got her to use a password manager after her bank locked her account for suspicious activity. Now she just taps the little keys icon and doesn't even know what her passwords are anymore. Honestly takes like 20 minutes to set up and saves so much headache later.

Did Dave finally switch after that crypto thing or is he still using the same old password?
