Picked a password manager over a notebook and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long
For the last 5 years I kept all my passwords in a little black notebook under my desk. I figured it was secure since nobody could hack paper. But last month I had to log into my bank account while I was at a coffee shop and realized I couldn't remember the password. I had to drive all the way back home just to check the book. That's when I finally switched to Bitwarden. It took me like 30 minutes to set up and transfer everything over. Now I can log in from my phone, my laptop, anywhere. The only thing I worry about now is that master password. Has anyone else had that moment where you just give up on your old system?

Your mileage may vary but I'd say the master password is actually more secure than a notebook since you can make it a long phrase you'll actually remember. Just make sure you write that one down somewhere safe though, or you really will be locked out.

Hang on though, a long phrase you remember is great until you get one character wrong or forget one word. I've seen too many people lock themselves out of everything because they tweaked their phrase a bit and couldn't get back in. A notebook you keep in a locked drawer doesn't have that problem - it's right there, it works every time, and nobody's hacking into a physical book from across the world. Plus that master password is a single point of failure, and if you ever type it on a compromised machine you're done.
