Just realized my $45 hardware key was the best money I ever spent on security
Everyone says password managers alone are enough, but my main Gmail got hit with a SIM swap attack 8 months ago and the only thing that stopped the attacker from getting in was my YubiKey. The whole thing set me back 45 bucks and it's the only reason I still have that account. Has anyone else had a SIM swap scare, and did a hardware key actually save you or did you find a cheaper fix that worked?
