Hit 10,000 blocked threats in a month and I'm not sure if that's normal

I set up a home Pi-hole network monitor last year just for my family's devices, and last month it logged over 10,000 blocked DNS queries. Most of it was from smart TVs and my kid's tablet trying to phone home to ad servers... is that typical for a small household? Has anyone else checked their own network traffic and found numbers way higher than they expected?

Yeah that's exactly what I'm starting to think too. Maybe it's got its own little social life going on with the other electronics in the house while I'm at work. I could see it hanging out with the microwave and the toaster, swapping stories about all the different shows I watch. The TV probably knows more about my actual life than my own family does at this point. It's kind of creepy when you really stop and think about it.
