Changed my mind about password managers after visiting a small business

I was at a local coffee shop in Austin last week and saw the owner write down her WiFi password on a sticky note that also had her bank login written right below it. She said she's been doing that for years because she can't remember all her passwords. Made me realize I was doing pretty much the same thing with a notebook at home. Has anyone else switched from a physical list to a manager and actually stuck with it?

Nah, I'm still team sticky note and notebook over here. I had a manager for about two months but dumped it because it locked me out when I needed a password for a medical thing at 2am and their sync was down. That coffee shop woman probably has way less risk of some random hack or leak than someone trusting all their data to a company that could get breached. Plus my grandma has used the same yellow pad for 30 years and never had a problem. I'd rather have my passwords on paper in my own house than in some cloud where I don't even know who's looking at them.

You know what, I used to be all about those password managers too, thought they were the smart move. But you just made me realize how much of a pain it would be if I got locked out at 2am trying to get into my email for a password reset or something. My aunt actually had her bank info compromised through a third party data breach last year and it was a nightmare sorting it out. Makes me wonder if my sticky notes on the fridge are actually safer than I gave them credit for.
