A $30 used YubiKey just saved my crypto stash
Back in March I had about $4k in a Coinbase account and kept getting those fake SMS alerts. I almost ignored 2FA altogether, but a buddy online said grab a used hardware key off eBay for cheap. I bought a YubiKey 5 NFC for $30 and set it up on my main accounts. Last week someone tried to log in from Brazil and the key blocked it cold. Now I'm wondering if there's a cheaper way to protect my email too, since that's the master key to everything. Anyone else running a hardware key on just one account or do you go all in?

Hardware keys are solid, but that $30 used one might have someone else's fingerprints on it, so change your PINs first.
