Why does nobody mention that 3 lines of flexbox beat my 80 line float grid from 2019
I rebuilt a portfolio page for a friend in Chicago last week and ripped out the whole float based layout I wrote back in 2019, which was 80 lines of clearfix hacks and negative margins that broke every time a new card got added. Swapping it for 3 lines of flexbox with gap made the cards line up on the first try and even fixed the weird overflow I blamed on the browser for months. Has anyone else gone back to an old project and found the thing they thought was a browser bug was just their own CSS?
