Warning: I set one div to 100vh and the whole page started sliding around on my phone
I was building a landing page for a friend's food truck site in San Jose and set the hero section to height: 100vh so it would fill the screen. When I pulled it up on my phone, the bottom of the hero got cut off by the browser bar and the whole page bounced and scrolled weird whenever I swiped. Turns out mobile browsers measure vh based on the biggest possible viewport, not the one you're actually looking at. Switched to 100dvh and it snapped right into place. Anyone know if dvh plays nice with older Android browsers or should I just use a JS fallback?
