That time I found a site where the nav bar followed you into the footer abyss
Was browsing a local restaurant menu last Wednesday on my phone and the nav bar just decided to stick to the bottom of the page no matter how far I scrolled down. It was overlapping their contact info and I literally couldn't tap the phone number. My buddy who builds sites took one look and laughed "that's a z-index war, rookie mistake." Now I'm obsessed with checking every site's sticky positioning and it's wild how many places have this broken. Has anyone else run into a sticky element that just refuses to let go lol?

Read an article saying 70% of restaurant sites have broken sticky navs.

Oh man, that's rough but not surprising. I actually read a UX study a few months back that said sticky navs fail most often because they overlap with content on mobile screens. Restaurant sites are especially bad about this since they cram in so many menu buttons and location links. The top complaint was the nav covering the "order online" button right when you try to tap it.

Gotta say @the_aaron hit the nail on the head there. Its so frustrating when youre trying to order food and the nav just sits right on top of the button you need. Seems like a basic thing they should catch before going live but somehow it keeps happening.
