That $40 premium font pack with broken letter spacing still haunts me

Ngl, I bought this premium font pack for a client project last month and the letter spacing was all over the place on their site. Every headline looked like it had random gaps between letters, like the CSS was fighting the font's built-in kerning. Spent like 3 hours tweaking letter-spacing values and it still looked off on mobile. Has anyone else dealt with a font that just ignores your CSS no matter what you do?
