Showerthought: The vending machine at my gym in Austin has its 'sold out' label rotated 90 degrees and it broke my brain
Last Tuesday I was at my gym off Burnet Road in Austin and went to grab a Gatorade from the old vending machine by the lockers. Every single "sold out" tag on the buttons was rotated 90 degrees, so instead of reading left to right it was going top to bottom like a stack of pancakes. I stood there for a solid 30 seconds trying to figure out which slots actually had drinks and which ones were empty because the text was going the wrong way. Turns out the machine still had everything in stock, the labels were just stuck on wrong, and the buttons themselves were fine. I took a picture because it looked like someone did it on purpose as a joke. Now I check every vending machine I walk past just to see if the labels are straight. Is this just a lazy sticker job at my gym, or have other people seen vending machines where the text orientation is totally messed up?
