Hot take: a client's 12 year old roasted my portfolio site and he was right about the buttons
My contact button was 18px tall on mobile so you basically needed a toothpick to tap it, and the kid just said "why is this one so tiny" while his mom paid for a mouse job. Bumped every tap target to 44px that night and my mobile form fills went from like 2 a week to 9. Anyone else get humbled by a kid pointing at their screen?
Kid feedback cuts through all the noise because they have zero filter and zero reason to lie to you. I read somewhere that Apple's own guidelines push for 44px minimum tap targets, and most of us ignore it until someone with small thumbs calls us out. Getting schooled by a 12 year old beats another six months of guessing why the form fills are low.
