Found out my flexbox container was 3px taller than my monitor after 2 years
I was debugging a sticky footer issue on a client site and finally broke down and measured the page height against my actual screen. The container was 1083px, my monitor is 1080p. Somehow I never noticed the 3px scrollbar because the browser was always in a window that maxed out below that. Client never complained, but it drove me nuts once I saw it. Has anyone else discovered their layout was sized for a resolution they don't even use?

Wait, you actually measured it? I used to just assume any weird scrollbar or tiny offset was browser noise, but now I'm second guessing all my fixed heights. That 3px is such a small difference but it must feel huge once you notice it, like a splinter in your eye that was there the whole time. I've been checking every layout against my real screen ever since, and honestly it's made me way more careful about those absolute sizes.
