Fixed a hover effect that made our whole site shake, but now I miss the chaos

Last Thursday I was updating a product card on our Shopify store and accidentally stacked two transform animations, which made every thumbnail vibrate like a broken washing machine whenever anyone moved their mouse over it. We had it live for about 3 hours before a customer emailed asking if we were having a seizure, and honestly the feedback was split between laughter and anger. Do you think a subtle jiggle for 0.2 seconds is ever worth keeping for attention, or is it always a bug that needs killing?

3 hours of shaking site seems like a you problem, not a design choice.
