The 3 AM grid rebuild that fixed my whole week

Last Thursday I was trying to move a footer below a sidebar in my portfolio and watched the whole layout crumble in Chrome DevTools. I spent two hours tweaking grid-template-areas, but every time I saved, something shifted and I just kept saying "okay, close enough." Around 3 AM I got frustrated and switched to named grid lines instead, suddenly everything snapped into place like it was obvious the whole time. The weird thing is I've used named lines for years, but only on big dashboard builds, never for something this small. Has anyone else had a mini breakthough happen when you were totally exhausted and should have just gone to bed?
