Spent 4 hours on a grid gap issue that turned out to be a missing unit

I was building a dashboard for a side project last month and kept seeing this weird spacing between cards. Tried minmax, fr, all the usual stuff. Nothing worked. Finally looked at the browser dev tools and saw my row-gap value was just a number, no px or rem. The inspector showed it as 0. Took me from 2pm to 6pm on a Saturday to notice. Has anyone else had a similar dumb unit slip cost them a whole afternoon?
