Minmax made me feel stupid after 4 years of fixed columns

I spent forever setting up 12-column grids with media queries for every breakpoint. Then a coworker showed me one minmax(250px, 1fr) line and my whole layout just flexed on its own. Anyone else have that moment where one property made you question everything you thought you knew?

Knew a guy who spent years learning every shortcut in Photoshop. Then discovered layers. Same feeling. Rules make you comfy until someone shows you the actual point.
