Finally got my CSS Grid dashboard layout working after 3 tries

I spent $15 on a mini course from Rachel Andrew's Grid by Example site and it finally clicked for me. I'd been fighting with nested grids for a client dashboard in Chicago, and the auto-fill with minmax thing just wouldn't cooperate. The course walked me through using grid areas with named lines and it saved me like 4 hours of debugging. Has anyone else had luck with those mini courses or is there a better free resource out there?

Totally agree, her mini courses really break things down without the fluff.
