A dev at the Austin meetup showed me one line of CSS that replaced my whole JS scroll handler
I was showing off my parallax demo at the monthly CSS meetup in Austin when this guy named Dev leaned over and said "you know position: sticky does all that for free, right?" Swapped out 40 lines of scroll listeners for three lines of CSS and it ran at 60fps on my old Pixel. Has anyone else had a moment where a stranger's offhand comment made them delete half their codebase?

My claim to fame is writing 200 lines of JS to do something CSS did in one line back in 2019. Still waiting for a stranger to walk up and save me from myself.
