Wasted $60 on a CSS animation library I never ended up using

I bought this fancy animation library online last month thinking it would save me time on my projects. But it turned out to be WAY too bloated with effects I didn't need, and I ended up writing my own CSS keyframes instead. The library slowed down my page loads and had terrible documentation. Has anyone else found that simpler CSS code works better than these paid tools?

Paid sixty bucks and got a slow website out of it. Sounds about right for most of those fancy libraries. I've learned the hard way that if the demo looks like a circus, the code is going to be a nightmare to work with. Your own keyframes probably run way smoother anyway.

Are we really acting like a 60 dollar template is some major life disaster though? It's not like they promised you a hand-coded masterpiece for pocket change.
