Vent: My CSS-only moon ended up looking like a bruised banana

I spent 4 hours last night trying to make a crescent moon using box-shadow and border-radius. Somehow the angles were all off and it looked like a yellow banana with black spots. Learned the hard way that stacking multiple shadows needs exact pixel math or you get a mess. Has anyone found a reliable method for curved shapes without going blind from tweaking values?

Man you spent 4 hours on that? I gotta ask, did you at least name it before you gave up on it? Bruised Banana has some charm to it honestly, way better than a perfect moon nobody remembers.

Yeah totally, I did the same thing with a loaf of bread once. Spent like five hours on it, kneading and waiting and all that, and when it came out of the oven it looked like a deflated football with a crack right down the middle. I called it "The Shame Loaf" and my friends still bring it up. Honestly, that ugly bread tasted way better than any perfect store-bought loaf I ever had, so the Bruised Banana name fits perfectly.
