Three days straight building a CSS landscape scene and accidentally made my first animated waterfall
Was tinkering with layered gradients and box-shadows just to kill an afternoon, but then I figured out how to chain keyframes on the sky and water at the same time, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has hit a point where a CSS-only piece suddenly feels alive.

When a CSS piece suddenly feels alive" is exactly the right way to put it, that moment when you step back and it's not just code anymore. If the timing gets choppy, try spacing your keyframe percentages out more evenly, it fixes that stutter without touching the math.
