The guy who taught me to use box-shadow for hair on a pure CSS self portrait
Back in March I posted a half finished CSS portrait of my grandpa and a user called pixelpete messaged me saying my hair looked flat, then spent 40 minutes in a codepen with me showing how layering 12 box-shadows with tiny offsets makes curls. That one trick is why the piece finally looked right, and I still stack shadows exactly like he showed me. What tiny hack did someone show you that you still use in every single piece?
