That feedback about my CSS octopus tentacles being too rigid changed my whole approach
Someone in the critique thread said my curves looked like I used polynomial math instead of organic bezier points - they were right, so I started tracing actual tentacle photos as a reference layer and deleted the math approach entirely. Has anyone else had to scrap a whole method because of one specific comment?

Whoa, hold up. I mean yeah, tentacles looking like math formulas is bad, but scrapping your whole method? That feels a little dramatic. You probably could have just tweaked a few anchor points instead of burning the whole thing down. Sometimes a critique stings so bad you want to start over, but that's usually a waste of the time you already spent. Unless your code was a total nightmare to edit, I'd say you overreacted a bit. But hey, if it got you better results then more power to you.

That's just how it goes sometimes, a fresh start often beats patching up old mistakes.
